“A celebration of music, storytelling, & history”

His latest project combines his love of travel, music, history and storytelling into a public access television show featuring four S.C. cities: Greenwood, Sumter, Camden and Columbia.
“Southern Songwriters with Patrick Davis,” which premiered Oct. 3 on SCETV, features a group of songwriters performing music and telling stories while weaving through Davis’ exploration of the town in which they’re filming.
“SCETV is thrilled to bring viewers this extraordinary new series that celebrates our rich Southern heritage through the lens of music and history. Patrick Davis’s passion for storytelling and his deep connection to South Carolina make this series both engaging and informative.” –SCETV Director of National Content and Regional Operations Don Godish
“The series is equal parts Austin City Limits and Anthony Bourdain, according to Davis, with the aim of combining the beauty and intimacy of a typical public television musical series with some bite-sized history lessons. Not every songwriter or musician featured on the show is originally from the South, but all have deep connections to the region through their work in Nashville or elsewhere.”
“Patrick Davis is a storyteller at heart, but until recently his stories have been lyrics sung to melodies. Now he adds interviewer, historian and treasure finder to his repertoire in his newly released public access television series, Southern Songwriters with Patrick Davis.”
